Russell Mark Olson was born and raised in eastern Missouri but has lived in the United Kingdom for the past 15 years. He has worked for 2000AD, AccentUK, Cult Empire, Mad Robot, and various UK and US small presses. He is a member of the SKRAWLLORDZ and edits SKRAWL, the Comix Magazine. He is the creator of the pulp-sci fi series, Gateway City, and is the winner of the 2018 Tripwire Award for Best New Talent and the 2018 Yancey Street Award for Best UK Artist. He's currently working on a new series with Aftershock Comics.

He lives on the Hampshire-Sussex border with his wife, daughter, and their collection of mostly-harmless, feral spiders.
